What’s black and white and cute all over? Our new baby zebra, of course!

We are very excited to announce Monarto Zoo has welcomed an adorable newborn zebra foal.

The little one was discovered by keepers last Wednesday after being born overnight.

The young foal, who is yet to be named, was born to seven-year-old Kali. This makes Kali a first time mum!

Keepers say both Kali and the foal are doing well and the pair are being left to bond in their yard.

Determining the sex of this young one is a waiting game. Keepers will now be on the look out to see how the foal urinates to tell if it’s a boy or a girl.
