Members help us save species from extinction

Tasmanian Devils

Australia’s largest living marsupial carnivore has suffered a major decline in number because of the facial tumour disease. Zoos SA is contributing to the mainland insurance population of Tasmanian Devils to protect from them from disease and to breed for reintroduction, particularly on disease-free Tasmanian islands.

Cheetah Conservation Fund

The Cheetah Conservation Fund is dedicated to saving Cheetah in the wild and undertakes research, habitat restoration, human-wildlife conflict resolution, alternative livelihoods and educational activities.

Mallee Emu-wren

There are now no known populations of Mallee Emu-wrens left in South Australia. Zoos SA is developing husbandry techniques for this species to support ex situ conservation.

Painted Dog Conservation Inc

Supports research, conservation, rehabilitation and community awareness projects in Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Namibia. In addition to Painted Dogs, it also supports conservation of other wildlife through the Zambian Carnivore Program and the Chipembele Wildlife Education Trust.

Membership FAQs

Can I upgrade my entry ticket to an Annual Membership?

Yes! If you join as a Zoos SA member within seven days of your visit, you can receive the individual cost of your admission off a new membership. To join, visit Adelaide Zoo or Monarto Safari Park, or call us on (08) 8267 3255.

When will I receive my membership card?

You can choose to ship your membership card to your address, or pick it up at Adelaide Zoo. Allow 5-10 days from purchase to receive your membership card.

Renewing members can continue to use their existing membership card.

How do I enter the zoo or park if I have not yet received my Membership Card?

You membership is active as soon as you purchase it. If you are still waiting for your membership card, you can present your email receipt to gain free entry to Adelaide Zoo and Monarto Safari Park.
