Monarto Safari Park

Monarto Safari Park is a non-government conservation charity, every visit, adoption, donation and ticket helps to save species from extinction.

A record-breaking number of visitors celebrated Father’s Day this year at Monarto Zoo!

In fact, it was our second-busiest day on record, so thank you for choosing to celebrate Father’s Day with our zoo family.

We welcomed thousands of incredible visitors through our gates and had a blast acknowledging all the amazing dads in our lives – be that human or animal.

While we loved sharing this special day with so many of you, the bumper numbers meant some people were delayed entering the zoo.

If this was you, we apologise for the inconvenience!

We’re thrilled Monarto Zoo is becoming an increasingly-popular tourist attraction but the zoo has outgrown some of its existing facilities.

Even with all three tickets booths in operation on Sunday and our dedicated gate staff working harder than ever, this unfortunately meant longer wait times for some visitors and less time spent with our amazing animals than we’d like.

The growing love for Monarto Zoo is just one of the reasons we’re so excited to be undertaking heaps of future developments to bring our visitors a world-class experience.

A brand new $16.8 million Visitor Centre, a glamping-style eco-resort, immersive safari tours and walk-through lemur experiences are just some of the things to look forward to.

These developments will also help us generate even more funds to support our critical conservation work and continually improve our animals’ facilities.

As a conservation charity, we couldn’t continue our vital work saving species without you.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding as Monarto Zoo makes these transitions to a wilder future.

Didn’t make it to Monarto Zoo for Father’s Day? Never fear – there’s something interesting happening all year round!
