Safari Squad: Create and Enrich

Three sessions only! Sep 30, Oct 1 & 2 | 9:30AM – 3:30PM​

Join our Wild Learning Educators for a full day of outdoor adventure, exploring the park, discovering animals and learning what goes into caring for them. Safari Squad will get hands-on designing and creating animal enrichment, discovering how keepers use creativity to encourage natural behaviours and keep animals engaged.

Young explorers will also head behind the scenes, take part in conservation activities and, weather permitting, enjoy outdoor activities at Bush Camp! This Safari Squad is all about bringing animals, art, creativity and conservation together for an unforgettable day at the park!

This school holidays, Safari Squad will:

  • Create enrichment for two animal species.
  • Discover how enrichment encourages natural behaviours.
  • Get creative with hands-on art activities.
  • Explore the Bush Garden in Wild Africa.
  • Learn about native foods and Ngarrindjeri culture.
  • Go behind the scenes at Kalibar.
  • Explore Elephants of Asia.
  • Learn about animal care and conservation.
  • Get outdoors at Bush Camp.
  • Tour the park in a private Safari Squad vehicle.

Non-members tickets           Member Tickets

  • Ages: 7–12 years
  • Cost: $75 per member child | $91 per non-member child
  • Food: Bring your own recess, lunch and water bottle
  • What to wear: Hat, sunscreen and closed-toe shoes
  • Drop-off program: Adults are unable to accompany children during Safari Squad. Adults wishing to explore Monarto Safari Park during the day will need to purchase their own park entry.
  • Activities: Animal and keeper activities are subject to availability. If plans change, a fun alternative will be provided.
