How your ticket helps our conservation efforts

Classified as vulnerable to extinction, the Cheetah is Africa’s most endangered big cat with an estimated 6,700 cats remaining in the wild. The decline is mainly due to habitat loss and fragmentation, the killing and capture of Cheetah to protect livestock, low genetic variability and illegal wildlife and pet trade.

Together with our international partner the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) we are doing everything in our power to save this incredible species from extinction. Statistically, birth rates for Cheetahs in captivity are extremely low, so we’re particularly proud that Monarto Safari Park has successfully bred 20 Cheetah cubs to date. These feisty felines mark an invaluable contribution to the breeding program working to secure the future of this majestic species.

By purchasing a ticket to the Cheetah Experience, you’re making a big difference to Cheetah conservation. To support us even further you can also adopt our Cheetah or make a tax deductible donation. Your support will help us continue our mission to safeguard the future of these incredible felines in the wild.
