Monarto Safari Park offers a comprehensive range of discounted group visit options.

Visiting groups to Monarto Safari Park have the opportunity and flexibility to experience our open range zoo in a number of ways!

From Private Group Tours, Zu-Loop Shuttle Groups or spectacular Twilight Group tours, your next group visit to Monarto Safari Park is sure to be an unforgettable experience for everyone!

Private Group Tours

A wonderful way to explore the park together. Bring your own bus and we will guide you around the park on a private tour. Departures are generally offered between 10:30am and 2:30pm daily, excluding public holidays. Groups supply their own bus.

1.5 Hour Park Highlights Tour

Using your own bus

This tour travels through African and Asian habitats to view animals including Asian Elephants, Giraffe, Rhino, Cheetah, Bison, Mongolian Horse, Red Deer, and antelope.

2 Hour Park Discovery Tour

Using your own bus

This tour travels through the African and Asian habitats and includes an opportunity to disembark for 30 minutes at one of the following viewing areas: Asian Elephants, Waterhole (Giraffe, Ostrich, Eland, Nyala, Tasmanian Devil), Boma (White Rhino), or Windana (African Painted Dogs, Hyena and Lions). Please select which option you prefer on the booking sheet.

2.5 Hour Park Explorer Tour

Using your own bus

This tour travels through the African and Asian habitats and includes an opportunity to disembark with your tour host for 30 minutes at two of the following viewing areas: Outpost (Meerkats and Chimpanzees), Asian Elephants, Waterhole (Giraffe, Ostrich, Eland, Nyala, Tasmanian Devil), Boma (White Rhino), or Windana (African Painted Dogs, Hyena and Lions). Please select which options you prefer on the booking sheet.

Important – Moderate fitness is required to walk from the Outpost to the Chimpanzee habitat.

What’s included?

All private group tours include admission and a professional tour host on board of your bus for the duration of the tour.

Bookings and requested tour departure times are subject to availability and must be pre-booked preferably more than 2 weeks prior to arrival. Please print off, complete and sign the booking form and return to our friendly Operations team via email monartooperations@zoossa.com.au

*Not available public holidays.
*All buses driving through the cheetah habitat must be a minimum of 21 seater. Articulated or double decker buses not permitted.

 

Zu-Loop Shuttle Groups

A great way to explore Monarto Safari Park for those groups who wish to explore the park at their own pace!    

We find this option works well for many groups who wish to arrive in their own vehicles. Your group may be mixed and prefer to explore the park at the individuals own pace. They have the flexibility to hop on and off the general public Zu-Loop shuttle buses at each stop to access our scenic wildlife viewing platforms or possibly attend a popular free keeper talk (scheduled at various times throughout the day) To see the full keeper presentations schedule click here.

Our Zu-Loop shuttles have volunteer guides on board providing an informative commentary on the animals and their habitats as you travel throughout the park.  Bus stops provide access to our scenic wildlife viewing platforms, and an opportunity to attend a scheduled free keeper presentation if there at that time of the day or take a stroll on our numerous walking tracks. Zu-Loop shuttles continually operate on a loop basis throughout the day.

Please note, as our Zu-Loop shuttle buses are also used by the general public, boarding is via a line up situation, larger groups may need to split.

*Minimum of 20 people are required for Zu-Loop shuttle group rates. 

*All group visits must be pre-booked.

Larger discounts apply for groups of 100+ people – rates on application.

 

Twilight Group Tours

Looking for something a little more unique? Imagine it’s dusk, looking out onto our African Plains waterhole viewing giraffe, ostrich, zebra or eland leisurely enjoying the last rays of sunshine as the day comes to an end.

Private Twilight tours may be scheduled from 4.30pm onwards, they can be booked as a Twilight private group tour or are a great addition to any private function at Monarto Safari Park. Pricing will depend on the commencement time of your tour.

What’s included?

Private group tour rates include admission, we will also place a professional tour host on board your bus for the 1.5 hour duration of your private tour.

Group Catering options

Monarto Hospitality offers a delicious range of hot and cold foods and beverages catering to your groups requirements.

Café

Located within the Visitor Centre precinct, is fully licensed with beer, wine, and spirits available. Please see our group menu options below. These options are applicable to the café only.

Minimum numbers apply. Catering booking forms must be completed and returned at least 7 days prior to arrival. No changes to group catering numbers within 72 hours of your arrival. Not available school or public holidays.

Waterhole Function Centre

Is a private function area located on the edge of the African habitat which caters for groups, conferences, weddings or special occasions. It’s scenic location is situated above our Tasmanian Devil habitat and close to the Waterhole viewing platform. Group catering rates for the Waterhole Function Centre are on application. Please note different rates apply.

Wish to cater yourselves?

You are more than welcome to self-cater your visit, we have a number of free group shelters for your use as well as numerous picnic tables located close to the Visitor Centre and throughout the park.

Please note that BBQs are not permitted.
